In 2024, the thirtieth anniversary of "SXM" will be celebrated, and to honor this master piece, 5tate of Mind and Sangue Misto have collaborated to create a limited edition capsule collection, designed to pay homage to their first and only album, which revolutionized rap in the 90s, becoming a fundamental pillar of the genre in Italy.
"SXM," with his innovative approach to lyrics and production, and his still-relevant subject matter, redefined the concept of style through slang and iconic rhymes. His power remains intact 30 years after its release, and songs like "Lo straniero," "La porra," and "Cani sciolti" are milestones passed down from father to son by generations of fans who continue to celebrate a seminal work in Italian rap.
5tate of Mind, who together with Sangue Misto celebrated the 25th anniversary with a sold-out capsule collection that is still sought-after among fans, to pay homage to the thirtieth anniversary of "SXM" recently reissued by Warner, presented a classic 90s capsule, the years in which, parallel to the affirmation of hip hop as a global culture, the canons of streetwear, DNA and cornerstones of 5OM's soul, were born and defined.
The capsule is composed of a bomber jacket, a hoodie, a snapback and a t-shirt; the jacket and the sweatshirt are characterised by embroidery, patches and tackle twill applications, the t-shirt sees for the first time
the album cover was printed on fabric, while the hat follows the original model
from '94, with the historic logo with the two dog heads, but in a snapback version.
Deemo, the artist who curated the graphic design of the original "SXM" print, is confirmed as the artistic director of the project, a pioneer of the Italian rap scene, an icon of the writing world and an art director with a vast portfolio as well as a mentor and collaborator of 5tate Of Mind since the beginning.
